Camp STAR 2023 Camper Applications Now Available
STAR Children’s Bereavement Services will be hosting its annual weekend-long summer camp, Camp STAR, August 11-13, 2023 at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay, MI. Children interested in attending must live in the Upper Peninsula, be between the ages of 8 and 17, and have experienced the death of a parent, friend, or loved one.
Camp STAR is a free weekend-long camp filled with traditional, fun, camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support. All camp activities are facilitated by caring, trained professionals, and volunteers. Each camper is assigned a camp buddy, who are young adults ages 18 to 25 that are trained to provide one-on-one companionship throughout the weekend.
